Librarians ConneCT with a Podcast!

Like it or not, this last year and a half has taught us to embrace technology if we want to stay connected. One of the good things to come out of it is this collaboration between many CT librarians in creating a podcast about the Nutmeg Book Award nominees! The Essex Library Children & Teen Services Librarian, Christina Carpino, came up with the idea and worked with the rest of us to pull it all together.

Most CT students are familiar with the Nutmeg Award books, and many spend their summers reading some of the new titles announced the previous May. At this point in the summer, the Nutmeg shelves in both the libraries I work at are getting pretty bare, and that's awesome.

The Librarians ConneCT podcast is great for educators (especially if you don't have time to read all the titles yourself), parents and students and anyone who loves talking books! The author interviews are also a great way to hear more about the authors you love and the stories you are discovering.

I'm so excited to be a part of this project!

You can find more information at the following link, as well as the schedule of when the episodes are released. And yes, there are Book Drops for every age reader!
